Alpaca wool is an animal natural fiber obtained from the fleece of alpacas. KNITSCHI processes Alpaca Fino for knitting with the manufacturer's specification 100% superfine alpaca.
How warm is alpaca wool?
Alpaca wool is used for warming knitwear. How warm a specific piece feels, however, also depends on knitting density, layers, weather, activity, and personal perception.
Does alpaca wool itch?
The wearing comfort is individual and depends, among other things, on personal skin sensitivity, the fiber, and the processing. Particularly sensitive people should test the material in advance whenever possible or ask KNITSCHI directly.
How do I care for KNITSCHI knitwear?

Are all products made from 100% alpaca wool?
The knit of the featured hat and the 2-in-1 solution is made from Alpaca Fino by Seehawer with the material specification 100% Superfine Alpaca. Additional parts such as the brand label are excluded from this.
Why do colors sometimes look different on the screen?
Brightness, display settings, and ambient light affect color perception. The color preview on the model is therefore non-binding; for the final selection, KNITSCHI can compare with an actual yarn sample.
Where are the products manufactured?
Knitting, further processing, and quality control are carried out by KNITSCHI in Chemnitz.
Alpaca or Merino – which is better?
Both are animal natural fibers with different properties. There is no generally better choice: fiber fineness, processing, product type, and personal skin sensation are decisive. KNITSCHI has chosen 100% alpaca wool in the knitwear.
